Vermont Is A 4-Season Family Vacation Paradise

Adjacent to the state's highest point, Mt. Mansfield, and beneath Stowe Mountain Resort, Stowe offers the incomparable beauty and serenity of a quaint old New England Village, with a strong hospitality community but almost untouched by America's nationally branded chains. Each merchant, whether storefront, restaurant and lodging property is unique and virtually all tastes are accommodated within the town's boundaries. The recreational opportunities are almost limitless: an auto road, an alpine slide, bicycling, snowshoeing, horseback riding, dog sledding, tours, snowmobiling, trail or carriage riding, mini golfing or golfing, shopping, hiking, fishing or skiing are all available in town, and several museums, factory tours, rock climbing, lake cruises, glider rides and so much more are nearby! The town has over 5 miles of paved walking trails and everyone will want to visit the Trapp Family Gift Shop, located at the famous Trapp Family Lodge. Just a few miles south of town you can tour Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. Other attractions include the Vermont Teddy Bear Company, Shelburne Museum, and the Echo Lake Aquarium and Science Center among others. The state's largest city, Burlington, is approximately a 40 minute drive and is one of the state's largest retail centers.
